2020 Playability Test Schedule

 

Listed below are the available PGA of Manitoba Playing Ability Tests (PATs) for 2020.

Please note that PATs are open only to individuals who are registered Applicants to the PGA of Canada. Please click on the registration link and you will be redirect to the PGA of Canada website.   You must register with the PGA of Canada.  

Individuals interested in participating in one of the PATs below who have not yet completed an application to the PGA of Canada must first do so by visiting pgaofcanada.com/join and completing the online application form. Please note that prospective applicants must have verifiable employment within the golf industry to be eligible to apply. 

NEW to the Playing Ability Test for 2020 

  • Applicants will register centrally on pgaofcanada.com for all PAT attempts.
  • The PAT will be conducted over one 18-hole round.
  • Separate PAT target scores for men, women, and seniors, backed by handicap data from Golf Canada.

NEW PAT Process

Step 1 - Register online at pgaofcanada.com - The cost is $325 plus tax, which includes your 1st PAT attempt and is valid for one year from the date of the registration. After a year, you must re-register as an applicant to register for and attempt at PAT.

Step 2 - Register online at pgaofcanada.com for all PAT's - ($150 per attempt, PAT's for 2020 to be posted online by April 1)


NEW PAT Exemption Process

Step 1 - Register online at pgaofcanada.com - at $325 plus tax

Step 2 - Submit your scores for a possible PAT Exemption (click here), using the online form at pgaofcanada.com (if successful, an additional fee of $25 plus tax applies).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
 
  • 2020 Playing Ability Tests will also be scheduled during these 2 tournaments.
  • To register for the 2020 Playing Ability Test, registrations must go to: pgaofcanada.com/join
 
  • Each tournament this season will also have a Seniors & Womens Division. At the time of REGISTRATION, you must declare which division you will be playing in (ie: PGA or Seniors Championship, you will not be permitted to play in both divisions).
 
  • The PGA of Manitoba will follow Manitoba public health and COVID-19 protocols for the tournaments. Details will be sent prior to each tournament.
 
  • Due to the protocols, Registration Fee must be received by the Registration Deadline.
 
  • The Spring Championship, PGA Pro Lady, Pro Junior, Fall Final are cancelled for this year.

2020 Senior & Women Divisions

We are pleased to offer a Senior Division & Women's Division in all PGA of Manitoba tournaments in the 2020 season!
 
 In addition to the Rules & Regulations for PGA of Manitoba tournaments,
please see below: 
 
 
Senior Division Rules & Regulations
 
REGISTRATION & FIELD: 
  • Open to any PGA of Manitoba member in good standing, 50 years of age or older.
  • The Player must declare upon registration for the tournament which division they will be playing – Regular or Seniors Division.    You will not be permitted to play in both divisions.
  • Any event where there are 2 or more in a Division (Regular or Seniors) constitutes a competition. 
 
TEES: 
  • Senior Division will play from forward tees.  
  • Tees will be clearly marked at the tee box.
 
 
PURSE: 
  •  Senior Division will play for their own purse including a percentage of sponsor money equal to the proportionate percentage of players of the entire field. 
 
 
 
Women's Division Rules & Regulations
