Einarson & Piper Share Lead After Opening Round or Sigurdson Financial Fall & Assistants' Championship

Winnipeg, MB – August 24, 2025 – The first round of the Sigurdson Financial Fall & Assistants’ Championship concluded today at Rossmere Country Club, with a pair of players tied atop the leaderboard.

Jack Einarson (Lakeview Hecla Resort) and Colton Piper (Bridges Golf Course) carded even-par rounds of 70 to share the overall lead after Day 1. Both competitors are entered in both the Fall Championship and Assistants’ divisions, adding extra intrigue heading into Monday’s final round.

In the Fall Championship Division, Sean Lacaster (GOLFTEC) and Devon Schade (Larters) sit tied for third at one-over par 71. They are followed closely by Derrik Goodwin (Glendale), Ryan McMillan (Elmhurst), and Jason Ludke (Pine Ridge), who are tied for fifth at two-over 72.

In the Assistants’ Division, Schade holds third place outright with his round of 71, while McMillan is alone in fourth at 72. Colwyn Abgrall (GOLFTEC) rounds out the top five with a three-over 73.

The second and final round will take place tomorrow morning at Rossmere Country Club. Along with divisional trophies and cash prizes, players in the Fall Championship division will also compete for valuable Player of the Year points as the season draws to a close.
