PGA of Canada announces dates for three 2026 National Championships

Acton, Ont. – The PGA of Canada is pleased to announce the dates and host venues for three of its national championships in 2026.

Historically played in September, the date for the 2026 PGA Assistants’ Championship of Canada presented by Callaway Golf moves up in the calendar and will take place May 25–28 at Bayview Golf & Country Club in Thornill, Ontario.

Last year’s event was one of the most competitive in recent memory, with Josh Landine chipping in on the last hole to force a playoff, which he went on to win against Yohann Benson.

The PGA Seniors’ Championship of Canada presented by GOLFTEC returns to Club de Golf Vieux Village June 16–19 in Bromont, QC. Vieux Village hosted the event in 2021 and 2024, with Dennis Hendershott and Alan McLean picking up victories. The defending champion is Gord Burns.

The Association’s flagship event, the PGA Championship of Canada, is set for August 3–6 at St. Eugene Resort in Kimberley, BC. The championship brings together the top players on the PGA Player Rankings vying for the P.D. Ross Trophy, won last year by Craig Stefureak.

“These three national championships represent the very best of our membership at every stage of their careers,” said PGA of Canada Senior Manager of Championships and Events Matt Mueller. “Three incredible venues have stepped up to host our professionals at these events and will surely give us three worthy champions.”

The dates and locations for the PGA Women’s Championship of Canada, PGA Head Professional Championship of Canada presented by Callaway Golf and PGA Head Teaching Professional Championship of Canada presented by UpSwing Golf will be announced at a later date.

Championship registration will open on April 1.
