Schedule of events, pairings and results

Some of the best amateur and professional women in the country are set to take on Burlington Country Club this week in search of the Lorie Kane trophy and a coveted exemption spot into the CPKC Women’s Open.

It really is all about getting the details right at Burlington– just like how Golf Away Tours takes care of all the details when planning golf getaways – let’s take a deep dive into what players are in store for this week.

The ‘Details’ of the Week
  • The top finisher in the event (not already exempt) will earn a coveted spot into the CPKC Women’s Open, being played next month at Mississauga Country Club.
  • Shauna Liu and Clara Ding have already earned spots into the event thanks to wins in the She Plays Golf Series.
  • 15 PGA of Canada club professionals are competing for an additional $4,500.
  • The past four PGA Women’s Championship of Canada winners are in the field: Michelle Xing, Alena Sharp, Sarah-Eve Rheaume and Christine Wong, who was the last PGA of Canada professional to win.
  • Xing, Sharp and Rheaume are paired together in the opening round at 8:20 AM ET.
  • With a win, Sharp would match Lorie Kane’s record of five PGA Women’s Championship of Canada wins.
  • The event was previously hosted at Burlington Country Club exactly 10 years ago, in 2015. Brooke Henderson picked up her first career professional win at the event.
  • The low PGA of Canada professional in the event will earn a spot on the 2026 PGA Women’s Cup team.
  • Burlington Golf and Country Club's Course continues to receive acclaim for its design, particularly its undulating topography, sandy loam, and outstanding finishing holes, #16, a short risk-reward par-4, #17, a demanding par-4 where a high score could be in play, and #18, a long par-3.
  • This is the third time in five years that the women’s championship will finish on a par-3.
  • The tournament scorecard can be found here.
  • Keep your eyes on the PGA of Canada’s Instagram account, where we will keep you apprised of all the action.
  • The 7th hole has been chosen as the ‘E-Z-GO ‘It’s Good to Go’ hole of the week. All players who make eagle on the par 5 throughout the week will be put into a draw for a $250 cash prize.
  • StrackaLine supplied players with green and yardage books, which will come in handy on the undulating Burlington greens.

The leaderboard will be available throughout the week here.
