Schade Finishes T3 at the PGA Assistants' Championship of Canada

It was an incredible performance this week by Devon Schade at the PGA Assistants' Championship of Canada presented by Callaway Golf.  The Larters at St. Andrews Assistant Professional finished at -10 and earned himself a T3 finish at The Ranch Golf & Country Club just outside of Edmonton, AB.

Schade stood on the 17th tee during his final round needing a birdie to force a playoff.  A tee shot that missed clearing the hazard by only a yard or two derailed that chance but he still managed to make 5.  It was his only bogey of the day on a card that had 4 birdies and 13 pars.

Yohann Benson of Quebec (-12) etched his name on the trophy, edging out 2019 champion Wes Heffernan of Alberta (-11).

Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario had great representation on the national stage this week.

Colwyn Abgrall of GOLFTEC Winnipeg moved up the leaderboard today with a third round 69 finishing T19, even par on the event.

Bret Thompson of Golf Mentor finished T32 at +5 and Walt Keating of Whitewater Golf Club in Thunder Bay finished T47 at +10.

Ben Dalke (Niakwa), Jeremy Gallant (St. Charles) and Dustin Wilson (Whitewater) missed the cut after round two.
